As an older driver I appreciated Gareth's learning style during my tuition. Initially I was attracted by the incentive on the first 5 hours of tuition after which I knew I had made a good choice. Gareth was on hand to deliver honest feedback throughout whether it was encouragement or to cajole. I would happily recommend Gareth to any aspiring learner driver in future.‎

I would recommend Licence2drive to anyone especially if you want a friendly and calm instructor. Gareth is patient with a great personality and unique sense of humour which brought much enjoyment to every lesson. There was never a dull moment. His style of instruction boosted my confidence, with no pressure to rush the learning process. Gareth explained everything to me precisely and always made sure that I understood every instruction. Even though my own driving experience with Gareth is over, I will continue to recommend Licence2drive.‎

Unfortunately, I started my lessons with an awful instructor who had shattered my confidence. Gareth had one hell of a challenge on his hands. Gareth is fantastic, he built up my confidence in no time at all, quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses which meant I never went over and over things I could already do well and waste time. He is very supportive and hilariously funny so I was relaxed at all times. I always looked forward to my lessons and although I am sure he is glad I finally have my own car to crunch gears with, I will miss the lessons and cannot thank him enough for everything. You would be insane to learn with anyone else!!!!‎

Enjoyed every lesson with Gareth, couldn't find a nicer more pleasant guy. Felt like I was moving forward every week rather then going round in circles. Patient and calm, Gareth made it really easy and enjoyable to learn. Also, going out of his way to help me out and to pass me as soon as possible on more than one occasion, greatly appreciated. Lovely car, always clean and fresh, couldn't say a bad word about my driving experience with Gareth. I recommend anyone who wants a 100% positive driving instructor to give Gareth a call because his way of teaching really is excellent. Thanks again Gareth!!!:D‎

Having learnt to drive with Gareth, I would happily recommend the business for anyone looking for a cheap, friendly driving instructor. I managed to pass first time, and was taught in a relaxed friendly atmosphere, which helped a great deal. Gareth is easy to talk to and get on with, and really makes you feel comfortable and confident when driving. I feel that learning with Gareth, I not only learnt how to pass my test, but how to become a safe, sensible conscientious driver, which i will take with me for the rest of my driving life. I was initially extremely nervous about driving, but Gareth's constant reassurance and help has turned me into a confident and safe driver. Anyone looking for a driving instructor, license2drive is the way to go!!‎

fantastic learning experience. gareth is very thorough and concise. he is encouraging when you feel negative about yourself and think you can't do it. he is supportive with all aspects of driving as he was able to provide useful reference points for manoeuvres, give examples of "show me, tell me" questions and helped me understand each one, sold me a very useful CDROM and even dropped it off at my house, booked both my theory and practical driving test.... he was very organised and i was always guaranteed set lessons each week. absolutely fantastic value for money! the best i found. very nice car, always clean and smells nice. very lovely guy, great sense of humour and very comfortable to drive with. definitely recommend to anyone!‎

passed first time under Gareth, was a great teacher. He was firm when needed but also relaxing. The car was nearly new and nice to drive. Gareth helped me fit in lessons around my timetable and most of all gave me the skills to pass first time :)

Gareth is a great instructor - he gave me the confidence I needed when all I could say was " I can't do it ! " I was rapidly approaching the Big 40 and thought it was about time to learn to drive. I didn't want to use one of the National Driving Instructors or have 17+ emblazoned down the side of the car !! I was so glad to have chosen Gareth - he is very patient, calm, gives clear instructions and tailors his lessons to each individual. He didn't even mind the odd swear word slipping out !! His coaching didn't just stop at the weekly lessons, Gareth provided the DVD Rom that enabled me to pass the Theory Test with ease. His comprehensive website also provides all of the information required for the Show Me Tell Me part of the Practical Test. Having never driven a car before, for this "Old Bird" with no confidence in her ability to drive, to pass within 5 months, first time with NO minors should prove testament to Gareth's skills and ability as an instructor. It just leaves me with one last thing to say ......... THANK YOU GARETH

Learning to drive was made relaxed and enjoyable with Gareth. Good conservation, sense of humour and patience. Gareth's patience was needed with my occasional dodgy driving (haha - sorry Gareth for the times you had to grab the wheel). Driving with Licence2Drive was a friendly atmosphere and Gareth gave clear instruction. Would recommend to young learner drivers, as Gareth is easy to get on with, and as long as you can put up with a few hours a week of corny jokes - you'll be laughing! Good luck with the learning to drive - you gain so much freedom, confidence and independence through learning and passing your test!‎

Gareth was a excellent instructor, he was really patient with me when I found things difficult and he really took time to explain things to me. I was quite nervous to begin with but he helped me become more confident with my driving. He was able to book my theory and practical test, and although I was very anxious about them, he made me feel more confident about passing them both, which I did both 1st time. He also managed to get me a great revision guide for my theory which also helped enormously. He was friendly, really easy to get along with and with a great sense of humour! Definitely the best choice and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor =)

Having had the pleasure of learning with licence2drive I can say that they are a brilliant choice for anyone looking to not only pass their test, but gain great confidence in their driving ability. The car that I used was virtually brand new, very responsive, and just generally a joy to drive. Also the price was very reasonable considering the quality of the tuition and the vehicle, several pounds cheaper per lesson then the big name driving schools. However the main selling point in my opinion was the instructor. My instructor, Gareth Wilton, was great. Very friendly, polite, and most importantly, patient! I was initially very nervous about driving but he was totally understanding and he knew exactly when to be firm and get me through tricky situations, and when to sit back and let me learn through my own experience. This allowed me to be totally at ease, because I could concentrate on just driving and not worry at all about anything going wrong. He booked both my theory and my practical tests for me and he was also able to get me an excellent revision aid DVD for my theory test, taking all those extra worries away and letting me concentrate on my driving. On the day of my test the worst thing happened, a nail had pierced one of the tyres! we had checked the car just before going to the test centre and it was fine, so we must have picked the nail up in the couple of hundred meters between the Comet car park and the test centre, so a case of bad luck and totally unavoidable. As a result my test had to be cancelled and I was of course gutted, but Gareth insisted on taking the cost of the test on himself even though it wasn't his fault it happened. He then worked to get me a new test as soon as possible, and I passed first time with just a single minor, no flat tyres this time! All in all I thoroughly enjoyed my driving experience with Gareth and Licence2drive; I passed my test and gained loads of confidence in my driving!
